Shock ResistanceThis test is used to evaluate the resistance of the relay to mechanical shocks such as those that could occur in transport or during operation. To perform this test, the test piece is placed in a suitable clamping device mounted on a shock table and subjected to the required shocks. The test severity is defined by:
It must be specified whether the relay should function methodically during the shock stress or whether it should merely survive it. In the first case, no opening of closed relay contacts or closing of open relay contacts with a duration >10 µs is allowed to occur during the test. This test is performed according to the IEC 68-2-27, Ea test. |
